Flashing
This error usually happens when using a version of Flashtool that is too new or too old for the target firmware. If you encounter this on 0.9.18.5, ensure your FTF file isn't corrupted by redownloading it via Xperifirm. Stuck on the Sony Boot Logo (Boot loop)
Flashtool operates by communicating with the Sony device while it is in a specific state:
Select from the boot mode dialog box and click OK . Step 3: Configure the Flash Settings
A window will appear showing your available firmware. Select your device and the firmware version from the left panel.
Monitor the progress bar. Once completed, the log will display: Flashing finished. Please unplug and start your phone .
(right side of the window). By default, DATA , CACHE , and APPSLOG are checked, meaning the internal storage will be erased. If you want to keep your personal data, you can uncheck them, but for a clean installation or to fix boot‑loop issues, it is strongly recommended to leave them checked.
