The film is based on the book "Inside Hitler's Bunker: The Last Days of the Third Reich" by historian Joachim Fest. It chronicles the events of April 1945, as Allied forces close in on Berlin, and Hitler's inner circle becomes increasingly isolated and desperate. The story unfolds through the eyes of Traudl Junge, a young secretary who is tasked with taking dictation as Hitler dictates his last will and testament.
